Here are some of the highlights of the India vs England Lord's test match. There were few things that you may have missed in the second test match between India and England at Lord's besides the raging win by team India that made it special.
1.THE HEAT WAS ON!
It all started at the end of Day 3 when England were 9 wickets down and Anderson walked into bat with Root unbeaten with a century at the other end. Bumrah bowled some nasty bouncers to Jimmy and couple of them hit his helmet and the others smashed into his ribs. Jimmy Anderson was not pleased with this and there was some words spoken after the innings to Bumrah even when Bumrah apologized to him, This is when the HEAT began! This then continued to Kohli having words with Jimmy while India's batting, Mark Wood having words with Bumrah and then again in the final evening the tango between Kohli and Robinson. But the good thing out of this is what Kohli mentioned in the post match presentation when he told "A bit of tension on the field that really helped us and motivated us to finish the match"
2. THE ROHIRAT INCIDENTS
The first incident happened at the end of Day four's play when India were 6 wickets down and Rishabh Pant and Ishant Sharma were at the crease. It was late evening and the lights were very bad, so Virat didn't wanted Pant to stop batting but Pant kept on staying on the field. That is when Rohit walked out to the balcony and shouted at Rishabh to stop playing. From the picture it is evident that both Virat and Rohit were signaling Rishabh to end the day's play and also in a really agitated manner. This was in fact a hilarious moment.
The second incident is when India took the wicket of Bairstow on Day 5 and the umpire gave not out for an LBW appeal, but Virat took a review and got it right. This was not much of a incident per se but just a wholesome hug between Virat and Rohit which was a feast for the eyes of the Indian fans.
3. JARVO
Well you can't talk about the Lord's test match without talking about JARVO! Jarvo - Jersey no. 69 was a person among the crowd who suddenly stood up and walked into the field when India were bowling. He came into the field claiming he was an Indian player before the stadium security removed him from the field. But this did not stop Jarvo from becoming an internet sensation, everyone started praising Jarvo as the only Indian player to debut and retire on the same day. Even Jadeja and Siraj were close to Jarvo when he entered the field and they had a good laugh about it .It was a really funny moment.
Then we came to know that Jarvo (Daniel Jarvis) was a prankster who has pulled many other pranks like this.
